On first inspection, this doesn't seem like a book that I would normally gravitate towards, but after reading your review, I have a feeling that this book would be really interesting. I am going to have to do some searching for it, because it does sound like an excellent story!

Gosh, you hit on so many things that I'd like to comment on! But I'll just pick a few...

I love reading stories about women reinventing themselves, because it's important to know that if you hate where you are in life, you *can* change things! Sometimes we get into a rut and think it would be too hard, but it's definitely worth it.

I'm really impressed at how many issues this book covers! The age issue is something you don't see covered very often.

This looks like a really good book. I'm not close to the age of the women in these books, but that doesn't matter. I think it sounds like a lovely story with a lot of heart and Susan is a great author.

This is the second great review I've seen about this and, like you, the other one described it as being more than fluff too. I feel like I'd enjoy this (despie only being 23) so I'm going to keep my eye out. Excellent review, Jo.
